From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia -

Cheap Street Press was an American small publishing company started up in 1980 and operated by the husband-wife duo, George and Jan O'Nale, in their rural home near New Castle, Virginia. Cheap Street concentrated on publishing limited edition books, signed and numbered (this copy is NOT signed, as explained below), of science fiction and fantasy works. Their books were hand-printed letterpress by George on fine (often handmade) paper and hand-bound in fine cloth and leather with matching drop-back boxes.

Their books were typically issued in editions of 50 to 200 copies. They approached authors who they identified for excellence in writing quality.

This book was produced as follows - Limited edition of 277 copies: 250 numbered plus 27 lettered and reserved for "private distribution".

HOWEVER, this copy is NOT part of that run of 277 copies, it is NOT signed because it is a "test proof." Cheap Street Press regularly created test proofs before running the final production, but kept no records of how many test proofs were created. It is possible this is the only one with string binding. I have exhaustively searched the internet 3 times in the last few years and have never found another copy offered.

This copy is in perfect condition with no markings or instances of damage.
